M31, Andromeda Galaxy
M31
The Andromeda Galaxy (M31) is the nearest large spiral galaxy to the Milky Way, roughly 2.5 million light-years away. Captured with the DWARF 3 without calibration frames from a Bortle 7 sky, the image reveals the bright nucleus and the dark dust lanes of the disc. Satellite galaxies M32 and M110 are also visible in the field.
