The Leo Triplet is a gravitationally interacting group of three spiral galaxies roughly 35 million light-years away. The image stacks 4h 6m of total integration through the L-Pro broadband filter, which suppresses light pollution while preserving the natural colour of the galaxies. NGC 3628’s long tidal tail is the most delicate detail in the frame and required careful stretching to bring out.
